Eee PC & My Advice
- The Asus Eee PC has several models:
- 18cms or 7", low powered & runs Linux
- This is useful for kids at school as it is low powered, small screen & keyboard
- 23 & 26cms, 9 or 10.2", medium powered & runs Linux or Windows
- Check the CPU - get the Atom processor
- Faster, better battery & disk space
- Get 2Gig memory (DDR2) - cheap & easy upgrade
- Great little machine - website built on it
- Small & much more portable than ever before
- Many like the Eee, the Everun & the MSI versions are incredibly cheap
- These run very quickly & use little power so battery life is pretty good
- The Intel Atom dual core processor is quick
- Not so fast, the Celeron-based products won't run heavy stuff well
- I can run Eclipse & Netbeans on the 1000H
